W J English Remembered

You may be interested to know that the life of one of your schools' former famous pupils was celebrated recently.

W J English was educated at Folkestone Grammar School (also known as Harvey Grammar School) from 1894 to 1898.

The Ulster History Circle unveiled a 'blue circle' plaque at the former home of Lt Col W J English VC at 16 Kings Road, Belfast on Thursday, 24 June 2004. The unveiling was undertaken by Mrs Barbara McAnuff, daughter of English VC.
